How we met
Eddie and I met one another in the fantastically, awkward year of 9th grade. And although we shared a mutual group of friends throughout high school, we were rarely in the same place at the same time. This trend continued on after graduation, bumping in to each other at random get-togethers or local hang-outs (I can speak for us both in saying that we always enjoyed the run-ins). The winds changed: I moved to Germany and Eddie moved in with a mutual friend of ours, Eric Romano. A year later the winds blew me back home and I found myself living at my mom's again (thanks Mom).
Eric and I were in pretty close contact during my adventures overseas. Once I was settled in back home he invited me over to watch a movie with the boys. It just so happened that Eric lived in the subdivision across the street (convenient? you bet!). The boys were all sprawled out in their designated spots; Bill in the Ikea chair, Eric in his recliner, and Eddie… well Eddie had the whole length of the couch, all to himself. Being a true gentleman, Eddie offered to let me share his designated movie spot.
The following day I, not-so-creepily, tracked down his contact information and shot him a text: Thanks for letting me steal your couch space last night. The rest is history. Mountains of texts lead to phone calls. Phone calls lead to hanging out. Hanging out lead to dating and the next thing you know, it's three years later and he's got the idea that I love him and want to marry him. He's a very clever man.
